With it's medium size and beautiful appearance, it has a lot of appeal to kids, making it another good choice for school lunches. Jersey Mac ripens in mid August.

The fruit are medium to large, uniform oval round. The fruit has an excellent sweet flavour and not prone to skin russet. The flesh is white to cream in colour, and texture crisp and juicy.

Paula Red apples are bright red with some yellow and tan spots; the skin often has a dusty sheen. They have a sprightly taste, not too sweet and not too tart, vinous and slightly reminiscent of strawberries.

The fruit is large, conical and ripens to a soft yellow with a slightly waxy appearance. The flesh, of a cream color, resists browning more than most varieties. The flavor is mild but with a tart finish.

The most outstanding feature of a Zestar Apple is its sprightly sweet-tart taste with a hint of brown sugar. Zestar is juicy with a light, crisp texture.

The McIntosh Red is an apple cultivar with red and green skin, a tart flavor, and tender white flesh. It ripens in late September.

Silken is a cross between the Honeygold and the Sunrise. It is a medium-sized, multi-pick apple. Silken is white-gold in colour, with a high lustre and white flesh that is crisp, very juicy, sweet and flavourful.

The wealthy is a medium to large size apple with a greenish-yellow and red outer skin covering a white to cream colored flesh. This apple provides crisp textured meat with a tart flavor.

Honeycrisp has rapidly become a prized commercial commodity, as its sweetness, firmness, and tartness make it an ideal apple for eating raw. It also retains its pigment well and boasts a relatively long shelf life.

Gravenstein has a sweet, tart flavor. It is picked in July and August and is heavily used as a cooking apple, mainly for apple sauce and apple cider. It does not keep well, so it is available only in season.

Cortland apples are sweet and juicy with a hint of tartness - which makes them ideal for salads and baking.

Empire is a sweet apple with a crisp texture and bright white flesh. Although Empire can be stored for a short period, it is best when eaten straight from the tree.
